Test bench research on internal combustion engines

We conduct a wide range of experimental studies on internal combustion engines, enabling detailed analysis of their operation, efficiency and environmental impact.

Research scope

  • preparation of speed and control characteristics of engines up to 240 kW,
  • measurement of more than 25 exhaust gas components,
  • exhaust smoke measurements,
  • oil consumption measurements,
  • measurement of indicated pressure in the cylinder with thermodynamic analysis of the working process.

Combustion process research

  • research on combustion processes using fibre-optic sensors,
  • research and development of engine control systems,
  • R&D work on modern combustion systems.

These studies enable optimization of engine operating parameters, increased efficiency and reduction of pollutant emissions.

Design and construction of research equipment

The Department’s team has expertise in the design and construction of specialized research and diagnostic equipment used in scientific laboratories and industry.

Research systems

  • modernization and expansion of engine dynamometers,
