Our main objective is to develop the idea of FIRST in the academic community. The Circle puts a strong emphasis on promoting and developing modern technologies among students. One of its first projects in cooperation with the Spice Gears team is the organization of the FIRST Tech Challenge competition. It took place on March 23-24, 2019, at the Lublin University of Technology hall. The aim of the competition was to promote robotics among the local community, especially among high school students who have the opportunity to develop through it. The Circle also continues Lublin Robotics League, a competition organized before by several Spice Gears members in October 2018 in Lublin.
The academic circle associates students, enthusiasts and people who simply want to learn more. This allows students to develop their interests, strengthen their soft skills, such as teamwork and free public speaking, which are necessary in adult professional life, and expand their horizons.
Lublin University of Technology joined the FIRST Global Higher Education Network (FGHEN) in 2018 and became an official FIRST partner. The University is one of the first in the world to support the FGC program.
