Rectors of the largest Polish and Ukrainian universities met at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin to discuss joint solutions regarding student education.
During the meetings, the representatives of the Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for many aid initiatives addressed to their nation.
It was also an opportunity to thank Prof. Jerzy Woźnicki from Warsaw University of Technology who received honorary doctorate from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
Prof. Woźnicki is the president of the Polish Rectors Foundation and he has been dealing with the subject of higher education and science for many years. He was one of the founders and chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP), as well as the initiator of the partnership between CRASP and the Union of Rectors of Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Zbigniew Pater, rector of Lublin University of Technology.
