Department of Computerization and Robotics of Production

Technology that gives you an advantage

Welcome to the world of modern technologies, where digitalisation, robotics and software engineering meet industrial practice.

  • Digitalisation
  • Robotics
  • Industry 4.0
  • Software engineering

Modern infrastructure and industry-standard technologies

The Department of Computerization and Robotics of Production is a place where students and researchers work with professional software and advanced technological infrastructure used both in research projects and in the educational process.

We teach using tools that define modern engineering.

We teach using tools that define modern engineering

During their studies, students gain practical experience working with software that is widely used in global industry.

MATLAB – intelligent analysis and modelling

Advanced environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualisation and numerical computing.

In the Department it is used for:

  • signal and image processing,
  • control system design,
  • dynamic system modelling,
  • telecommunication and financial analysis.

With its extensive automation tools, MATLAB enables the entire workflow — from data import, through analysis, to report generation — to be completed quickly and efficiently. It is an environment that significantly accelerates engineering work.

Solid Edge – uncompromising 3D design

Professional CAD software for creating technical documentation and advanced 3D models.

3D design allows engineers to:

  • visualise designed components,
  • verify design correctness,
  • prepare documentation ready for implementation.

It is the first step towards professional engineering design.

NX Siemens – from design to manufacturing

Integrated CAD/CAM/CAE environment (Siemens PLM Software) for the complete product development process.

It enables the full engineering workflow:

  • 3D design,
  • structural simulations,
  • manufacturing process preparation (CAM),
  • design optimisation.

Students learn to work with a system used by global industrial corporations.

AutoCAD – the foundation of design competence

One of the most recognisable CAD systems in the world — essential in the work of engineers.

It is used in:

  • machine and equipment design,
  • technical documentation preparation,
  • installation and architectural projects.

Knowledge of CAD tools is today a fundamental competence for every engineer.

Engineering programming – from algorithm to application

We develop programming competencies (Visual Studio, Visual Basic), with particular emphasis on creating applications that support engineering work.

Students learn to build tools that automate calculations, support data analysis and optimise technological processes.

What do you gain?

  • automation of calculations and reporting,
  • practical experience in developing engineering tools,
  • skills valued in industry and R&D.

Develop your passion. Build experience. Explore the world.

Student research groups operate actively within the Department. They organise trips to national and international conferences, seminars and industry events. It is a space for implementing your own projects, teamwork and gaining experience beyond the standard study programme.

Student Research Group of Robotics and IT Applications

Projects in robotics, automation and industrial IT.

Student Research Group of Biomedical Engineering

Medical technologies, data analysis and solutions at the intersection of engineering and healthcare.

Here technology means practice

Software becomes a tool for real projects. Students become engineers ready for the challenges of Industry 4.0.
